Preamble
2. “The First Terrorist Attack
was not 9/11”
The first American killed by terrorists
was a woman, Ronnie Moffitt in 1976. The attack, by foreign soldiers
trained by the U.S., was carried out by the Chilean government.
A car bomb was planted, killing diplomat Orlando Letelier and his assistant,
Ronnie Moffitt. Letelier was working to restore democracy to Chile, which made
him an enemy to Chilean dictator, Augusto Pinochet. Pinochet, of course, had
very close ties to the U.S. government.
3. “The U.S. Harbors Terrorists”
At Fort Benning in Georgia, and before, in
Panama, our government trained foreign soldiers. The camp was called
the School of the Americas, and graduates of this school committed
many of the worse human rights atrocities of the last 50 years in
South and Central America. This school is still in operation today.
On our soil.
